Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.(taken from www.apta.org)

Please show up for your initial appointment at least 15-30 minutes early to begin paper work.

  • At your first physical therapy visit physical therapist will perform your initial physical therapy evaluation to start physical therapy treatment and develop your plan of care.
  • After completing first session you can make further appointments at front desk, where all insurance related questions can be answered too.
  • We recommend loose comfortable clothing for your physical therapy visit.

  • Please bring your doctor’s prescription if you have one.
  • If you have any notes from your physician, test results or imaging results, you may bring them as well.

We are in network of all major insurance companies. Patients require paying their deductibles. Once deductibles met, patient may charge for co-pays. Patients are responsible for any uncovered charges.

Georgia state law allows the patient to receive a physical therapy examination without a referral from a doctor. There are some instances where a referral is not necessary. These include the patient who is returning to physical therapy within 60 days of discharge from prior physical therapy, and those who are interested in fitness and wellness programs.

Some insurance companies will not reimburse physical therapy services without a referral.
